Theatre Information and Etiquette
We pride ourselves on providing a memorable theatre experience. We ask for the following house rules to be followed to ensure the comfort of all our patrons.
Arrivals Patrons to arrive at the theatre no later than 15 minutes before the start time of the performance to ensure that you are seated in time and do not delay the start of the show. If picking up tickets from the box office prior to the show, patrons should allow 30 minutes before the start time of the show. Disabled Access There are a number of specially allocated wheelchair spaces in the stalls. Please advise Ticketmaster when buying your tickets. Disabled toilets are available on Levels 3 and 4. Lift access is available to Level 4 (dress circle), however there are still a number of steps to access seats. Hearing Loop If you are hearing impaired, there is a hearing loop installed. During a Performance As a courtesy to your fellow Patrons we ask that:
Seating Seat allocation is located on your ticket. Please ensure you are in the correct seat. On General Admission events where there is no seat allocation, all seating is to be started from the front rows, from the middle out. Intermission Most shows will allow for an intermission. If leaving the show prior to a break period please ensure you have your ticket with you. If you have any questions prior to or during an event please ask one of the Ushers who will be located at all auditorium exit doors or various points around the building for assistance. General Policy Children and those in need of special care are the responsibility of their parents, guardians, teachers or carers. All children over 12 months of age must be in possession of a ticket for a seat. Minimum supervision requirements are 1 adult for every 10 children. We reserve the right to refuse entry to unaccompanied children under the age of 14. The Bruce Mason Centre reserves the right to ask anyone causing a disturbance to performers, other patrons or staff to leave the theatre. There is a Duty Manager at all performances who will be happy to help with any problems. The Bruce Mason Centre, at all times, understands their Health and Safety obligations to all patrons and staff and has a health and safety management system in place. |
