Playwright Cafe is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm and serves light meals, a selection of pastries, muffins and cakes along with gourmet sandwiches, paninis, quiche, soup, and fresh salads.
The cafe will be open prior to all shows at the Centre with a selection of snacks and beverages. Playwright Cafe is light and airy with an outdoor feel to it. In summer the windows open wide to make the most of the streetscape and sea views. The cafe proudly displays a selection of show posters and hosts the Bruce Mason memorabilia display featuring the famous playwright's original writing desk and typewriter. The Cafe area is a Telecom Wireless Hotspot and the Zenbu Wireless Network is also available. Prepaid vouchers are available from the Ticketmaster Box Office by the main entrance.
