Grand Massed Bands - Commemorative Concert
Concert Sunday, 12 September 2010As a fitting finale to the 2010 North Shore Heritage Festival, the International Military Music Society NZ Branch in conjunction with North Shore City and Geon Print is presenting the sixth in its extremely popular series of annual Grand Massed Bands Commemorative Concerts.
Featuring Auckland's four great Service bands - from the RNZ Navy, RNZ Artillery, RNZ Air Force and the Auckland Police Pipe Band - in another afternoon of glorious entertainment and tribute.
This year’s concert will mark the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, of which it is hoped that several veterans will attend as honoured guests.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Ranfurly Trust Veterans’ Home & Hospital, Auckland.
Pre Show Buffet Lunch $27.50 per person.
Includes roast dinner, house wine, beer or soft drink, and an ice cream to take into the show.
